37 degrees and pouring down rain... can it get any worse on this Sunday night??? I shouldn't have asked that, because as soon as we got to The White Elephant and started setting up for the show, I got a phone call from Hayes Carll's manager. HE WAS SICK and had to turn around and go back home. Thank goodness, the opener, Matt Davis was already there and Trish wasn't far behind. Although we had a few dissapointed patrons, there were plenty of Trish Murphy fans in attendance (and some new fans by night's end!).
Matt started the night off with a great set of original tunes. He also threw in a Leonard Cohen song that delighted Trish (she knew he was playing it by the first few chords he strummed).
Matt came up from Houston to open the show for Trish and we are already looking forward to the next time he plays the Clubhouse stage. By the amount of CD's he sold, I am sure he will have plenty of Ft. Worth fans come out to see him.
Although the night started off a little crazy, by the time Trish got on stage, everybody had settelled in for a great show. Trish played lots of crowd favorites  - in fact, she asked the crowd for requests and played everything they asked for.

We had another great listening crowd at the show and I know the musicians appreciate it. We were already talking about booking both Trish & Matt again by summertime.
