The Clubhouse Girls' road trip to New Braunfels was short and sweet! Emily and I got into town around 5pm and after checking into the hotel, we decided to drive up to Gruene and eat at The Grist Mill. As we drove over the Guadalupe River, below Gruene, we realized how VERY crowded Gruene was on this Labor Day holiday. When we couldn't even find a place to park, we decided that eating at The Grist Mill would have to wait until another time. We grabbed some fast food and headed over to The River Road Ice House. The weather was great for an outdoor show, and Stoney & JB & The Stragglers were awesome!! Stoney had Noah and Roger sit in with him and then Stoney stayed and played with The Stragglers for their whole set!! The crowd was really into the music, which always makes for a good show! Dub Miller, Wade Bowen, Mike Mancy & Darren Kozelsky got up and did "Boys From Oklahoma" with them. We had a great time, and are looking forward to another road trip in the near future!!
