|Max Stalling and blacktopGYPSY
with Greg Reichel
December 10th, 2006
|Our sixth show at Jack's was a very special show... Max Stalling was the very first "Clubhouse Concerts musician" in January of 2002. We were very excited to finally get him back. Max shared the stage with the duo known as blacktopGYPSY. They are two of the most talented women in the Texas music scene. Andie Kay Joyner has a beautiful voice and Heather Woodruff was incredible on fiddle. Max and Heather are engaged and it was obvious that they are really happy! Congrats Max & Heather!
Andie Kay & Heather brought along their lead guitar player, Sam Swank. Sam played lead guitar for both Max and the girls.
|Greg Reichel made the trek down from Oklahoma and played a great opening set. Greg has played for us many times ( he was one of our "up & comers" back in May of '05) and as always, did a great job!
Both Greg & Max got a little lost trying to find the restaurant. Apparently, White Settlement Road isn't as easy to find from Henderson St. as I thought!
|Jack is usually hanging out at the shows, making sure everything runs smoothly.
Occasionally you can catch him taking a breather, enjoying the music
|Amy caught Bruce chowing down on his EBTKS burger
(EBTKS stands for "everything but the kitchen sink" - it's a loaded burger with everything you can possibly think of!)
|Bruce & Stu
enjoying the music from the "smoking" area
|Sam Swank - lead guitar|
|Greg "hamming it up" for Amy|
|It was a great night to hang out by the fire pit|
|I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jack Wilson and his awesome staff. We love having the Clubhouse shows at Jack's and I think the patrons of the Clubhouse agree. The acoustic are great and the musicians are loving it!
We have had six great shows so far and we're already booked up through the middle of March. Check out our calendar to see what we've got planned for 2007 - including our 5th Anniversary show on January 21st!
Thanks to Greg, Max, Heather, Andie Kay & Sam for another great Clubhouse Concert!
Join us next week for our last show of 2006 with Stoney LaRue & Travis Linville. We are expecting a big crowd ( we're bringing in extra chairs for the main room) so get there early to get a good seat. Doors will open at 6pm (no earlier) and music will start at 6:30pm.
Cover is $10 (cash - if you don't have cash, you'll have to run up to the ATM, so plan ahead!).
|As always, thanks for sharing your Sunday evening with us!
Joni, Emily, Amy & Rachel Allene
