Tonight's Clubhouse show brought two "newcomers" to the concerts series.
Kevin Higgins (lead singer for The Dust Devils)  from Marble Falls brought along his friend, Scott Nolan - from Winnipeg, Canada. Scott is making a "run" through Texas - in fact in the next few weeks he is playing at Hayes Carll's festival on the Gulf Coast called "Stingaree".
It was a great night of music!
Cody Jinks ended a three day run, opening up the show with a great set.

We look forward to having him back.
Kevin invited his wife (Barbara Malteze) up on stage to do a song. She has an incredible voice and is a great performer.
Kevin & Barbara live on a ranch outside of Marble Falls. They are the caretakers for the ranch, which caters to children with special needs. Barbara had some interesting stories to tell about their life on the ranch. It was obvious talking to her that they care alot about their work with the children.
Fans of both Kevin and Scott got to hear old favorites as well as a brand new song that Kevin had just written that morning.

Scott did an incredible song in which he used a "loop", playing harmonica and singing at the same time. It was the first time I had ever heard this sound and it was amazing. I'm looking forward to hearing the recording!
As always, we would like to thank the fans that come out on a Sunday evening to support the musicians.
The "Upstairs" room is an incredible "listening" room and we thank EVERYONE for keeping it that way. Every single musician that plays for us always congratulates us on finding the perfect room for an acoustic show. They love our new sound system!
Last night, in fact, Scott was saying that he really didn't even feel it was necessary to use a microphone (although he did) because everyone in the room was so quiet and listening. Although he came all the way from Canada, he said he can't wait to come back for another show.
Be watching the schedule for a return trip from these guys!
