You probably already know that Keith Davis is a very talented singer-songwriter, but you may not know that he is also a record producer. Keith came to me recently with the idea that he would like to do a showcase of some of the young musicians that he is producing - or has already produced - their cd's.
The evening started out with a strong set from Fort Worth's own - Scott Blakewell. Scott had a large group of friends turn out to support his "debut" at the Clubhouse.
Scott's sister, Cindy Blakewell, (an aspiring actress living in Chicago) came down for the show (and to spend the holidays with family). She joined Scott for his last song of the set - a great cover of a Ben Folds song. < --------

The final set of the night featured Keith, Luke Leverett, Chad Hammock and Nathan Daniel. < ----------------
It was obvious to see why Keith is so excited about producing this young group of musicians. They are all very talented and have great futures ahead of them! After the show, I was talking with a fan, and we both agreed that one of these days, there will be people saying "I remember when they played at the Clubhouse..." We are very proud to be able to bring new talent to Ft. Worth.

The last song of the night, "Knocking On Heaven's Door" was a perfect end to a great night of music. Unfortunately Cody had already headed back home (he had a four hour drive) but Brison and Chad's guitar player joined Keith, Chad, Luke & Nathan. |

After the show, as everyone was visiting with the musicians and I was cleaning up beer bottles, I was surprised to see Roger Ray in the room. He brought a VERY GENEROUS donation from Jason Boland & The Stragglers to help with the "sound equipment fund". Their generosity blows me away. We are very blessed by all of these great musicians that we call "family". Thanks, Jason, Roger, Brad, Grant & Monty!
Thanks to Hyatt Place Stockyards for providing rooms for tonight's musicians
