| Although it was a cold and rainy Sunday night, you wouldn't have known it by the crowd that showed up at The White Elephant! While everyone filled their plates with a delicious chili-cheese casserole, homemade cornbread, salad and dessert, Gordy Quist & Drew Cowan entertained the crowd with a great set of songs. With the rainy weather, Wade was running a few minutes late, which allowed for a few extra songs from Drew & Gordy. Wade showed up at around 8:30pm with Matt Powell in tow! To everyone's delight, our songwriter swap quickly changed from a "duo" to a "trio"! |
| Brandon, Wade & Matt put on a great show!! They played lots of new stuff, and everytime someone requested a song... they were quick to oblige. They were also really funny, which showed everyone that they were having a great time playing together. Since The White Elephant closes at midnight on Sunday nights, we almost had to forcefully remove them from the stage! After the show, I overheard Wade saying "I didn't have enough time to play all of the songs I was wanting to play". I know everyone was wishing the night could go on much longer. |
| Word is starting to get around about what a great thing we have going at The White Elephant. Every week we are seeing new faces in the crowd. <~~~~~~ This group of new fans were just patrons at the bar, from Holland, and they stayed for the whole show. As they were leaving, they thanked everyone for the great time that they had. |

| This coming Sunday (Nov.21st) brings a sort of "dilemma" to the Texas music fans in the Fort Worth area... We are hosting three of the best singer/songwriters around... Walt Wilkins, Susan Gibson & Brandon Rhyder. Unfortunately, Woody's has booked an acoustic show featuring Wade & Randy the same evening. Hopefully, since our shows start MUCH earlier than the Woody's show, we are hoping that everyone comes out to our show, has some dinner and enjoys the music and if they want to go to see Wade & Randy, there will still be plenty of time to get to Woody's. We are starting our show at 7:30pm and there are no openers, so Walt, Susan & Brandon will be going on early! (* I've even heard rumors that Wade & Randy are hoping to stop by and catch Walt, Susan & Brandon's set before they play at Woody's). As always, the Clubhouse Girls want to thank these talented musicians that come out to play our acoustic shows! We hope to see everyone next Sunday! |
