Tonight was a special Clubhouse show, as John Batdorf brought his style of "California folk/rock" to Cowtown.

John was 1/2 of the duo "Batdorf & Rodney" in the 70's.
He played songs from when he was with Mark Rodney, as well as songs from his more recent CD's.

Fans from around the metroplex came to the show, even bringing old vinyl albums for John to autograph!
John Fullbright, from Oklahoma, opened the night with a great set.
John is fast becoming a Clubhouse favorite and we are looking forward to having him back soon!
It was an intimate night of music, with candles and tables to "set the mood".

Thanks to our sound engineer, David, for helping John with his guitar jack problem!

Tonight's Clubhouse stop was the third (and final) night of John Batdorf's Texas tour.
John flew into Austin, rented a car, drove to his first night's show in Kerrville, on to his Saturday night gig in San Antonio and then up I35 on Sunday morning for the Clubhouse show. Although we would have thought that Hurricane Ike would have been the obstacle for John, it turned out that getting around Ft. Worth was the biggest hurdle. Although John is from Los Angeles, he said he had never gotten so turned around as he did once he hit town. After SEVERAL calls to Joni and a little help from "Yahoo maps", John found his way to the Stockyards and we're glad he did! Thanks to Joni's brother, Rick, for giving John a lift to the nearest convenience store after the show for some snacks for the hotel room. We were afraid he might get lost and end up in Denton (or even worse... Dallas!).
Thanks, John, for making the Clubhouse Concerts Acoustic Series one of your Texas stops.
We hope you will come back again next time you are in the area.
