It was an awesome night at the Clubhouse. Being the third Sunday of the month, The White Elephant hosts a "Songwriters in the round" afternoon show, so we knew that things could get a little crazy between their leaving and our coming in. Thanks to Brett Watts and his crew for helping make the transition smooth. As we were moving table, chairs, couches etc, the line was forming outside. By the time we opened the doors, there were alot of people waiting to get in. Was it for the music, the Johnny Carino's dinner or was everyone there for the "songs of the clubhouse" compilation cd? I think it was a combination of all three.
Matt Powell put on a great opening set. By the time Stoney & Bleu took the stage, it was "one in, one out" at the front door. We had sold out The White Elephant!!!
The guys put on a great show, as always. Lots of new stuff, along with many old favorites. Stoney played every song requested by "the Clubhouse girls" (which we knew he would).
We want to thank EVERYONE for making the Clubhouse shows what they have become. Like I told Stoney last night "Who would have thunk it??"
Not me, not in a million years.
